Wild Rampant Emus

2004-08-06 at 12:56 a.m.

An Emu, as you may know, is a large bird very similar to Ostriches. In Texas, there are actual farms where people raise emus to sell for profit. When these people's Emu farms go under, a large part of the time they'll simply let the emus out into the woods, abandoned. A few years ago, my uncle had wild emus running near his home out in the boonies. My dog, Victor, was visting for a week, and got bit on the butt by a wild emu. The poor dog had a large, 5 inch diameter spot that was furr-less for a good month after his incident with the wild emu. So.. beware of wild rampant Emus. They're still out there.
